The RTA will be undertaking maintenance work from Monday 19 September 2011 on the Swansea Bridge. This work is part of the Swansea Bridge 2011-12 maintenance program.
This work will involve:
One bridge will remain open each night with one traffic lane open in each direction while the work is carried out. There will be no bridge openings for marine traffic while the bridge work is being undertaken.
Please follow the signs and drive with care.
The RTA appreciates the cooperation of motorists and apologises for any inconvenience.

Earlier today, the NSW State Treasurer, the Hon Mike Baird, delivered the 2011-12 NSW State Budget.
Today’s Budget is the first Budget of the O’Farrell Government and provides a substantive insight into the Government’s longer term economic agenda.
NSW Business Chamber’s policy advisers have participated in the State Budget Lockup and they have completed a detailed overview of the State Budget.

The Australian Consumer Law (ACL) was introduced as a single national consumer law on 1 January this year. The ACL is supported by the Competition and Consumer Regulations 2010 (the Regulations) which contain additional requirements that businesses must follow to comply with the ACL, including requirements relating to voluntary warranties against defects offered by businesses. The focus on infrastructure in the Hunter Region has long been a permanent fixture in public discussion.
Our ailing infrastructure base seems to trail a long way behind the growth of our region. Whilst we have seen an injection of funds to upgrade the coal supply chain, the Hunter continues to operate on an ageing road base with a public transport system that is largely mismatched to our key urban growth areas.
