By way of introduction SWANSEA is 30 minutes south of Newcastle and 1 hour north of Sydney. It is the major town on the south eastern edge of the City of Lake Macquarie, an ideal location where the lake meets the ocean. Our 2281 post code footprint covers SWANSEA, BLACKSMITHS, CAMS WHARF, CATHERINE HILL BAY, CAVES BEACH,MIDDLE CAMP, MURRAYS BEACH, NORDS WHARF. Our area has the distinct advantage of having on its door step, Lake Macquarie (a body of water 5 times the size of Sydney Harbour) plus 6 kilometres of beaches all within 5 to 10 minutes from any of the above locations and of course there is residential and tourist accommodation right on the Lake and on the Beaches. Take into account our proximity to Sydney (1 hour north) plus the ambiance of our coastal villages and you have a relaxed lifestyle and playground the equal of anywhere. We are also fortunate in the fact that there is a great deal of interest in the area which is affording us new well planned Tourist, Residential and Retail/Commercial infrastructure. I have been in the area for 30 years. It is one those wonderful places that if you drive through you may not think about it. But when you stop and see the wide crystal clear channel that links the ocean to the lake. When you walk along the pristine beaches. When you sit on the lake foreshore and take in the serenity of this great expanse of water you have to think WOW how good is this!
